Welcome to Black Rhino Timberworks

We are a small family business in central Indiana. I’ve been a hobbyist woodworker for a bit over 10 years. In the past, I’ve either made things inspired by our family needs or random ideas to satisfy my curiosity to create and learn new skills. I’ve also done a few commissions for businesses and friends. Now we are taking the next step and putting a collection of unique designs out into the world.

My other hobby/obsession is disc golf and you’ll notice that is currently the main focus of our products. Disc golf has been gaining in popularity for a while, and even more so in the past few years. Many people have gotten large collections of disc because of the need to try different molds, plastics, or manufactures. Some have gotten a little addicted to buying new discs, and some people just like to have a lot of options. Great looking, high quality shelves for disc storage is something that just doesn’t seem to exist yet. I want to contribute to filling that niche.

Wherever you are in your journey, I hope you find something on our site that you find useful and attractive enough to put in your home. Everything we sell should meet or exceed your expectations and should last a long, long time. Wood is obviously a natural product with imperfections and possible internal flaws that can affect its function or longevity, and woodworkers are not factory machines that make perfect products every time. However, if something’s not right, we will strive to make it right.

At home we have tried to teach our kids to be kind and respectful to everyone they come in contact with. My hope for this business is that all my customers know that I care about the products I make and the people who buy them. I don’t want anyone to feel like they didn’t get what they expected, or that their purchase hasn’t stood the test of time. If you have any issues please contact me and we’ll figure it out.
